Every dollar donated by our employees is matched by Port Waratah.

This half a million dollars has gone a long way to support the vital rescue service which operates 24/7 and delivers 1500 aeromedical missions a year. The service provides emergency aeromedical response to 1.5million people across northern NSW.

“We’ve become a unique service and we’re here to support the community every minute of every day. Donations, like from Port Waratah, keep us in the air with the best equipment and training. We’re able to continue helping people – often when they’re having the worst day of their life,” said James Lawrence, Head of Marketing, Media and Fundraising.

It was a burns patient saved by the Service that moved Jennifer Murphy, Specialist Business Information at Port Waratah, to begin donating through our workplace giving programme in 2009.

“It’s a life-saving service that benefits our whole region. When I see the Chopper flying overhead on its way to the more remote communities, I’m grateful that I have been able to contribute in a small way to what could be a life-saving flight. And you never know if it will be needed for someone close to your heart,” said Jennifer.
