Port Waratah Conference
Port Waratah management and team members came together for an internal conference to connect, share and learn from one another.
In December 2025, more than 170 Port Waratah team members gathered at Rydges Newcastle for a day of connection, collaboration, and inspiration under the theme of Integrity.
Teams worked through real-world scenarios, debating decisions not only on what could be done, but what should be done, reinforcing the importance of integrity in decision-making.
A highlight of the day was hearing a keynote from Australian rugby legend and Hall of Famer Stephen Larkham, who shared his insights on leadership, trust, and purpose drawn from his sporting career.
The day concluded with a hands-on, team challenge to solve problems and build 18 bikes for families in need at Christmas, donated to the Salvation Army for the Newcastle Toy Run.
