This year the Live Better, Work Better programme delivered a series of three 8-week challenges designed to build sustainable, positive lifestyle habits for employees and their families.
These challenges addressed key areas such as fitness, nutrition, sleep, hydration, reducing screen time and reconnecting with others and the environment. Each programme included body scans, weekly coaching calls, online support, goal tracking and unlimited group fitness classes.
The first challenge of the year attracted 91 participants, an increase from 65 in the previous round, and achieved measurable results including 90.7kg total weight loss, 68.7kg body fat reduction, and 17.6kg muscle gain. The second challenge engaged 41 participants and focused on holistic wellbeing habits, while the final challenge saw 50 participants achieve 50.6kg weight loss and 10.3kg muscle gain. These outcomes reflect strong engagement and consistent progress across the workforce, reinforcing Port Waratah’s commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and fostering a culture of health as part of its broader business objectives.
